Rebecca married Moses Connor Emerson on 5 Apr 1849 in Warsaw, Kosciusko, Indiana. Moses was born on 2 Dec 1816 in Hopkinton, Merrimack, New Hampshire and died on 2 Aug 1870 in Chillicothe, Livingston, Missouri at age 53.

Rebecca and Moses had nine children:

George married Eliza Bolander on 29 Jan 1872. Eliza was born in 1852 in Indiana and died on 22 Mar 1881 in Fairview, Livingston, Missouri at age 29. They had five children: Charles was born in 1873 in Missouri, Frank was born in 1874 in Missouri, Florence was born in 1876 in Missouri, Virgil was born in 1877 in Missouri, and Edna was born in 1880 in Missouri.

George next married Barbara Mingle on 28 Sep 1882.

George next married Stella ______. Stella was born in Dec 1867 in Ohio. They had one son: Orville born in Sep 1899 in Missouri.

3. Leander Fealding Emerson was born on 17 Feb 1854 in Warsaw, Kosciusko, Indiana.

4. Miranda Jane Emerson was born on 6 May 1856 in Warsaw, Kosciusko, Indiana.

Miranda married Granville W Dewitt on 8 Dec 1875. Granville was born in 1851 in Missouri. They had six children: Barton was born in 1877 in Missouri, Roy was born in 1880 in Missouri, Claude J was born in 1885 in Missouri, Myrtle K was born in 1891 in Missouri, Nellie A was born in 1894 in Missouri, and Sylvia H was born in 1902 in Missouri.

Charles married Hannah M Hire Dec 1880 or 1881. Hannah was born on 13 Sep 1862 in Polk County, Iowa and died on 14 Apr 1891 in Chillicothe, Livingston, Missouri at age 28. 7. John Nelson Emerson was born on 17 May 1862 in Warsaw, Kosciusko, Indiana.

8. Mary Henrietta Emerson was born on 3 Jul 1864 in Evansville, Vanderburgh, Indiana and died on 16 Apr 1955 in Mountain View, Howell, Missouri at age 90.

Mary married James Walter Moye, son of Nicholas Moye and Mary Jane Purcell, on 15 Feb 1884 in Chillicothe, Livingston, Missouri. James was born on 24 Sep 1856 in Livingston County, Missouri and died on 29 Dec 1931 in Mountain View, Howell, Missouri at age 75. 9. Elizabeth Ida Emerson was born on 2 Aug 1866 in Chillicothe, Livingston, Missouri and died on 27 Mar 1919 in Salina, Saline, Kansas at age 52.

Elizabeth married John Minnis Storer on 1 Sep 1889 in Alton, Osborne, Kansas. John was born on 28 Aug 1866 in St John, New Brunswick and died on 26 Sep 1947 in Jewell, Jewell, Kansas at age 81. They had two children: Everett Aroll was born on 10 Oct 1890 in Tilden, Osborne, Kansas and died 10 June 1918 in France in WWI.  Blanche Etta was born on 26 Jun 1901 in Covert, Osborne, Kansas and died 19 Jul 1958 in Salem, Marion, Oregon.

Parents of Rebecca Rowena Bowen

Rebecca's father was Hezekiah Bowen, son of Alexander Bowen and Elizabeth unknown. Hezekiah was born in 1799 in Maryland and died on 18 Jan 1857 in Kosciusko County, Indiana at age 57. He was married three times and had nine children. Hezekiah and his second wife Jane were early settlers in Kosciusko County, Indiana. They moved there about 1840 from Ohio. Hezekiah was an early Justice of the Peace in Kosciusko County. According to one source he was considered a  wealthy man at his time and loaned money to several people.

Rebecca's mother was Sarah McGuire. Sarah was Hezekiah's first wife  Her dates of birth and death are unknown at this time. They had four children:

2. Elizabeth Bowen was born on 21 Sep 1824 in Ohio and died on 17 May 1898 in Linneus, Linn, Missouri at age 73

Elizabeth married Lucius P Howe on 20 Oct 1843 in Kosciusko County, Indiana. Lucius was born on 28 Feb 1822 in New York and died on 3 May 1883 in Linneus, Linn, Missouri at age 61. They had six children, all born in Kosciusko County, Indiana: Sarah J born in 1844, Nelson A born in 1848, Henry born in 1849, Lavra born in 1851, Isiah born in 1854, and Joseph born in 1855.

3. Hezekiah Bowen was born in 1826 in Maryland.

Hezekiah married Caroline Hibschman on 16 Oct 1853 in Kosciusko County, Indiana. Caroline was born in 1832 in Pennsylvania. They had five children, all born in Kosciusko County, Indiana: Joseph A born in 1855, Louisa A born in 1858, Mary A born in 1859, Elizabeth T born in 1862, and Susan A born in 1864.

Hezekiah next married Jane Hanawalt on 1 Oct 1835 in Ross County, Indiana. Jane was born in 1812.They had three children:

George married Catherine Shoe on 31 Dec 1857 in Kosciusko County, Indiana. Catherine was born in 1839 in Ohio. They had six children: Louisa L born in 1859 in Indiana, Mary E was born in 1867 in Indiana, Edward was born in 1870 in Missouri, Alice was born in 1872 in Missouri, Hester was born in 1874 in Missouri, and Frederick was born in 1878 in Missouri.

6. Mary Ann Bowen was born on 24 Aug 1838 in Ohio and died on 27 Oct 1904 in Kosciusko County, Indiana at age 66.

Mary Ann married Benjamin McKrill on 26 Aug 1855 in Kosciusko County, Indiana. Benjamin was born on 18 Jan 1825 in Richland County, Ohio and died on 23 Mar 1901 in Kosciusko County, Indiana at age 76. Margaret married Benjamin F Hibschman on 22 Dec 1857 in Kosciusko County, Indiana. Benjamin was born on 29 Dec 1835 in Ohio and died on 19 Apr 1919 in Clark County, Illinois at age 83. They had four known children, all born in Kosciusko County, Indiana: Mary was born in 1860, Sarah was born in 1862 , George was born in 1865 and Andrew was born in 1867.

Hezekiah next married Susan Lozare, widow of Joseph Brandt, on 5 Oct 1845 in Kosciusko County, Indiana. They had two children:
