Frederick Jacob Fischer
 

1-Frederick Jacob Fischer,  son of Jacob Ferdinand Fischer and Dorothy (Dorothea Auguste Elizabeth) Grabenhorst, was born on 31 Oct 1863 in Dayton, Webster, Iowa, died on 7 Dec 1891 in Magnolia, Rock, Minnesota at age 28 and was buried in Maplewood Cemetery. 

Frederick married Ella Minnie Butzer, daughter of Jacob F Butzer and Sarah Rickel, on 9 May 1889 in Yorktown, Henry, Illinois. Ella was born on 1 Apr 1869 in Geneseo, Henry, Illinois, died on 27 Dec 1951 in Eldora, Hardin, Iowa at age 82 and was buried in Sheppard Cemetery. They had one daughter: Jessie.

  2- Jessie Fischer was born in Mar 1890 in Henry County, Illinois, died 15 Feb 1915 in Union, Hardin, Iowa from lead poisoning and was buried in Sheppard Cemetery in Hardin County, Iowa.

After Frederick's death Ella married George Banning who was born on 4 April 1861 in Rochelle, Ogle, Illinois, died on 6 July 1937 in Greene, Butler, Iowa and was buried in Sheppard Cemetery. They had two daughters: Susie Dell and Ella Ruth.

After George's death, Ella married Willis Martin Bunker on 8 August 1938 in Waterloo, Black Hawk, Iowa. Willis was born on 18 Nov 1869 in Lena, Stephenson, Illinois, died on 16 Mar 1950 in Eldora, Hardin, Iowa and was buried in Rose Hill Cemetery with his first wife, Sarah Louise Lineback.

Frederick Jacob Fischer (Fisher) was born October 31, 1863 in Boone County, Iowa to Jacob and Dorothea Grabenhorst Fischer.  His father died when he was young.  After his mother married Barnhart Wolf on March 7, 1871, Fred moved with his family to Yorktown Township, Henry County, Illinois and resided on a farm west of Hooppole. 

Jacob married Ella M Butzer, daughter of Jacob Butzer and Sarah Rickel, on May 9, 1889 in Yorktown Township. Ella was born on April 1, 1869 in Geneseo, Illinois and died December 27, 1951 in Eldora, Harden, Iowa.  Fred and his family moved to Luverne, Minnesota sometime around September 1891.  He died December 7, 1891. He was aged 28 years, 1 month and 7 days at the time of his death. Funeral services were held December 8, 1891 and he was buried in Maplewood Cemetery, Luverne, Minnesota.  Fred and Ella had a daughter, Jessie, who was born March 1890 in Henry County, Illinois.

A report has reached here that our old time friend, Fred Fischer is dead. But meager particulars are at hand It is said that he suffered a fall on frozen ground fracturing one of his legs Friday of last week and died from the effects of it. A telegram was received that his remains would be brought here for interment but for some unaccountable reason nothing further has been heard as of this writing. He died at New Vernon, Minn.

Geneseo Republic, Friday, December 18, 1891
Fred A. Fischer, late of Yorktown township, this country, died at Luverne, Minn. Monday, Dec. 7th, 1891 of septicemia, resulting from a fracture of the right leg just above the knee, which necessitated amputation. The fracture was caused by a fall over a pile of stones when he was using a wheelbarrow in cleaning out a stable at his brother Henry's place near Luverne. Deceased was 28 years, 1month and 7 . He was born in Boone county, la, Oct. 31,1863. married May 9 th 1889 Miss Ella M. Butzer Geneseo. He resided with his family at Barnhard Wolf's, in Hooppole, till last September. His family now reside in this city. Funeral services were held Dec. 3th, the burial took place at Luverne.

Mr. Fred Fischer's funeral sermon was held at the Evangelical church Sunday by Rev. C.S. Fehr. The has a large circle of friends here who mourn his death and who have heartfelt sympathy for his wife and two little children, and parents, brothers and sisters.
