A Family History of Henry George Grabenhorst

Henry George Grabenhorst was born in 1799 in the Brunswick area of northwestern Germany where his ancestors have been traced back to 1521. In 1850 Henry George immigrated to America with his wife, Dorothea, and his four surviving children: Andrew, Henry Christian, Dorothea and Frederick. They settled in Pennsylvania and Maryland and eventually most of the family, with the exception of Andrew, moved to Iowa and Illinois. Henry Christian and his children moved to Oregon in the early 1900's. This web site tells their story and the story of their ancestors and descendents.
